It's the weekend..no time..and Beach Cleaning!

The weekend is almost here and once again all of my thoughts of posting useful info about.. the used kit that has come in and the New Kit which is still arriving on a daily basis (rubber wear in particular..).. have disappeared into the black hole that is within this shop.. where does all of that 'time' go to ? So if you want to know more about all of that I am sorry buy you will have to come along and have a look!

Prices are becoming an issue on some of the New 2017 stock though and it is something to think about if you have a wish list in mind, as buying now could save you a lot of money (some carbon booms have just increased by £200.00 and alloys by £40.00). This is going to be a right royal exchange rate pain in the future and not quite sure how we will go about keeping our sport at what we can call a reasonable cost (so don't chuck any old kit in a skip just yet!! :) .
On a brighter note.. for those of you who are keen to get out and do a little paddling this weekend Saturday looks good as the winds will be fairly light and offshore'ish which will make running along the coast 'flat and fast'. Not so good if you were hoping to get a few waves but I expect there may be a small swell running in somewhere that you can play on. Tide is high 16.58hrs on a 5.5m.

And for those that want wind for their fun.. Sundays forecast currently has the winds coming round to an Easterly and picking up to a suspected 17kts.. so it maybe a good afternoon for the kites and for those windsurfers who own kit large enough to get them planning (WindSUP boards will of course get you out in pretty much anything, as per last Sunday afternoon when they had the best of it!). Tide is high at 17.46hrs and down to a 5.1m

Beach Cleaning?.. it's not the sort of thing that everybody thinks a lot about but probably something at least once a year as users of the beaches we should.
Shoreham residents have been doing a twice a year spruce up for as many years as we have been a shop and today the local Rep. from SAS Brighton (Surfers Against Sewage) dropped by with a poster re. their organisations Week of Beach Cleans.
It's actually a really interesting thing to do, as most of us only rush along it to get in and then get out of the water, but to see what is actually 'on it' does make you aware of what's going on in our little old English Channel (there was a dead Porpoise / Seal on the beach last Sunday.. have not seen one of those for a while!).
You can find out more at their facebook page
or there is a list of Beach Cleans for the UK on their site at https://www.sas.org.uk/events/

Note.. If I missed it I am sorry but I could not see one for Shoreham..maybe our beach is already Clean! :)

And that is it for now. Please do Call or email if there is anything we can help with..at all.. as WE do try and HELP!
Have a great Weekend.
