It's all very nice though and the warmth of the sun on your face does bring a 'light at the end of the tunnel' feeling.. BUT I am getting a little worried, as after years of 'watching' the weather it's a fact that we only get 'so many' of those wall to wall SUN days in a Year and using them up in January... well, that's not good for us in the W'Sports Industry. Hmmm.. never sure about using the 'Industry' word in a sport that in general has a background of 'Do anything but work' !.

I would prefer it to be just a little gloomy now (come on.. we all Love Gloomy in this country :) ) and then give us the SUN when it's back to being warm and windy. 

When Nature is the nature of your business things are rarely 'smooth running' and after 24 years.. I'm still waiting for the perfect 'weather year' for our business (you will be so happy when we finally have it!). Maybe 2017 will be the one..

Talking of SUN.. protection from its nasty rays is nowadays advisable and it was a shame that the tried and tested Pro Sport went 'wrong' last summer, as it has caused a bit of a void with what water sports participants can use. Pro Sport was a brilliant product as its 'once a day' application did protect the wearer from at least burning and hopefully all the other effects of prolonged time in the sun and water. It's odd but at present we cannot find another product of a reasonable price (protection or not, most people put a limit on the price) that does not require re-application. As a matter of note a lot say they don't until you read the instructions. We are now supplying Headhunter as it appears to be a popular product with good reviews and is supplied via a large Surf Products supplier, so you would hope that they have 'morals' about this sort of thing! It's on the site and the price is reasonable at £12.99 for a large amount of SPF 30 and £12.99 for a smaller amount of SPF 50. So one to think about if you are heading to the slopes (face and ears protection is a must) or the currently warmer areas of the globe.

Swearing.. it's a bit of a problem in our culture and we use 'swear words' without being aware of it. I do not class myself as a person that 'particularly' swears a lot but after spending a little 'koala-tea-time' (Thank You to Susie at Boards & More in Austria for that gem.. to understand you probably need to see the Tea Cup she has.. http://www.inmymindseye.co.uk/ceramic-novelty-mug-with-aust… ) with 'Tim the Vicar' this morning (sorting out a harness) I have to change that opinion of myself.. Being aware of who I was with I counted a few 'Bloodies', quite a few 'Gods' and a lot of 'Hells'.. not good.. but I have to say that Tim took it all very well. In my defence I guess that he must get a lot worse from Will, Matt, Rune, Guy etc. .. :) .. but I would just like to say that I am really "SORRY for my blaspheming Tim" . 

If there is a God (I always like to think that there is when my mast has just broken..) I am taking no chances!!

I'm sure you will all be getting bored now so let's go to the weekends outlook.. Saturday will be 35°C and the winds will be from the Sou-West at 25kts with a wave period of 4ft at 20 secs.. YOU WISH !

Both days are wall to wall sunshine but remaining cold with a 3° high on Saturday and 6° on Sunday.. less Wind Chill .. with a light breeze coming in from the Eastern sector (Nor East to Sou-East currently forecast ) at 7kts. 

Tides are High at 17.51hrs on a 4.7m Saturday (that's hardly worth mentioning!) and 18.57hrs on a 4.7m Sunday. Outlook for next week is currently for the winds to slowly move around to the South and strongest days are Thursday / Friday at 15 gusting 20kts. Temps are slightly improved at 8° but with GLOOMY OVERCAST conditions... HOORAY! :)
