Rare Sit on coming in and Kite Repairs

Quick update on a rare bit of Used kit coming in and the Kite Repair update.

Anyone looking for a double Sit on Canoe?? We should be trading an RTM Ocean Duo in good condition with seats / paddles next week.. Price still to be confirmed but give us a Call if you are interested.

Bad News.. Mick Salt , who many of you will know, has decided to wind up Sore Kite Repairs. The lack of wind this year has plummeted the amount of repairs he was receiving and for pure financial reasons he is closing the business. We are very sorry to lose Mick as he is a such a nice guy and has been so helpful over the years to so many people including ourselves.. we wish him all the very best for the future.

Good News.. as if by luck a chap called Rob Stack has moved into the area to join Seasprite Sports at Rustington. Rob has run Hampshire Kite Repairs alongside working at 24/7 Boardsports at Calshot for the last 10 years and due to the move has now renamed his business Sussex Kite Repairs.
Rob can also repair the large dinghy and windsurfing sails (7.5m and above) that Mick Brown can no longer cater for due to workshop size restraints.
When I asked Rob about his outlook regarding repairs he said " I’m very used to quick turn around times as I know people don’t want to be off the water for long, myself included, So in most cases even a leading edge blow out could be back the next day depending upon volume of traffic and the delivery time to me. But the only thing I won’t be interested in doing is a crap job or being pushed in to rushing it. If it needs some time it will get it. One thing is very important which is I need ALL kites / sails to be clean and dry before bringing them in for repair, if not the price goes up as I will have to do it before I can start the repair, which will also delay things".

Rob has asked that all repairs be dropped into Surfladle and we will make sure he gets them ASAP.
I'm pretty sure that Mike at Worthing Watersports will also take repairs in for him but do check first.

Big Event coming up at Worthing Yacht Club which is being held over four days encompassing next weekend.. more about that shortly!

Clouding up here now.. :(
