In some ways it's a shame to have lost the 'Hot' as the Bank Holiday weather was just what the watersports industry needed in terms of people getting back into the water (if you saw Shoreham Beach on any of the three days it was SUP city.. wish I had had a mo to take pics). Heat is our friend and the change in the last few days has seen the beach go from a thriving but sometimes messy affair into a very tranquil 'chilled' area.. great for those into Watersports but not great for getting people to 'get in love' with the water! I reckon we must have had about 8 days this year that have hit what I would call reasonable Summer temperatures.. 27° plus is just getting pleasant and really gets things going ! ;) 

A shame also for the Shoreham Sailing Clubs Charity Raft Race which takes place this weekend as the winds are up and temperatures down.. but we hope it turns out to be a lot of fun for those competing and that it gets a good turnout of spectators! Kickoff is at 10am and more info is available at

 

So as the official summer hols draw to the close we are now clearing the SUP Demo boards...

plus we have a Used Red Paddle 9'8" x 31" 2015 board complete for £400.00

Complete means a bag, pump, leash and paddle.

(sorry..we've just loaded the shop and I've realised that I have not taken pics of the two 9'8" boards!)

 

If anyone is looking for a freeride windsurfer to carry sails 5m - 7.5m then look no further.. we have traded in an RRD Firemove 112lt Wood which is in very nice nick (one small nose repair) and is up for £525.00 ovno!

 

And now, for this last weekend in August, the tides and winds..

Saturday the wind is coming from a Sou'West direction 13kts in the morning and hopefully 20kts by late afternoon. High tide is 12pm (midday) on a 6.5m.. hence the raft race!

Sunday sees the winds swing to the West and run at about 12kts until it swings possibly more to the Nor'West later in the afternoon and pick up to 18kts.

High is at 12.48hrs on a 6.7m.. great River paddling tides but get the times right (Upper Beeding High is approx 1hr after Shoreham so around 13.48hrs).
