So this is it.. after just forty seven years today is the final day of the United Kingdom being part of the EEC. At 11pm UK time or Midnight in European time, we are off.. gone.. out of here...once again the Island Fortress of Blighty.  Whatever your views on the matter it is now a Leap of Faith,  in our own ability to create a country capable of surviving and hopefully prospering in today's tough economic environment ,without the aid of other non EU countries using us a stepping stone.. as it looks as though most are off to find a new stone in the EEC. Sadly it seems that neither can we rely upon our dear Queen to dispatch the proud and noble British Fleet, to go and seek out new and as yet 'unclaimed' lands, which we can then 'borrow things' from ! Apparently that is not seen as good business nowadays which is a shame,  we were quite good at that!  So I guess that means we, or rather those that have at least another twenty years of graft in them before they can retire, will have to work hard, with ingenuity, to bring us back to prominence as some form of World leader in..umm...errr.. something...anyone got any ideas? Oh what the heck eh.

Moving on... 

 

We've had some Used Kit come through the door on a quiet' ish last week in January (where did that forecast of wind go from last Friday.. should have known it was too good to be true!).  It's windsurfing kit and a Quiver of 2018 North Super Hero sails. The condition of all is very good and will do someone proud for quite a while. They require constant curve RDM masts... North obviously and Ezzy as well,  as they use exactly the same mast curve. If you want the lot give us a call and we will work out a Quiver price.

Now for the weekends weather and Tides.

Saturday we should have 22-34kts from the Sou-West with no rain and a 10° air temp. Tide is High at 15.30hrs on a 5.1m.

Sunday the winds drop back to 18-26kts Sou'West with rain forecast for the early morning. Tide is High at 16.22hrs on a 4.8m.

 

The forecast for next week is for wind on Monday and then coming back in again on Friday.. so it will probably blow all week! Keep your eyes on it.

 

 

And that is that for this week. From tomorrow it's going to be the start of a New World, whether we like it or not.
