Friday night and as per the Norm.. IT IS THE WEEKEND!

It's Friday evening, I'm back in the shop for this one and we are now into Week 2 of the UK Lock Down! It may sound like a reality game show (wish it was) but what a change this has made to the way people are feeling about themselves and how they view others. Just going two doors down to the Beach Stores for milk today felt decidedly 'dodgy'. Nothing to do with the owners who are truly lovely people but it's like being in one of those B movies where everyone is on edge, as there's a  serial killer at large and they could be in there.. That might not seem odd considering the way things are and you would expect it in a big supermarket but the majority of the people in there know each other and they still have the 'is it you?' look on their faces.. or do they? Is it just me that is slowly becoming paranoid and trying to stay safe.. probably even though I try not to feel that way. I guess we may get used to it but I really hope that it does not leave a legacy of 'distancing' in society.. especially after the months of upset between people caused by Brexit. To put it into 'my' perspective, Terrorist Bombs were and still are a 'worry' but this Virus.. "it's really doing my head in" !

So it's the Weekend and I do hope you have a few changes to your now daily routines planned to keep Saturday and Sunday special. We have one more week to go and then we are into Easter.. now that we do have to try and make Special as it is seen by many as the first weekend of the year for getting back out onto the water (not everyone likes the tears in their eyes as their hands hurt so much). Sadly I doubt whether we will have any lifting of restrictions so heading to the beach will be a no go but you could find a bit of time to just pull out the kit and spend an hour or so cleaning it up and checking everything is in good working order.. it would be 'sad' to eventually get the green light to go and then ooops... a long swim is in order.  Service now.. enjoy so much more later.

News wise, within the water sports area, it is all about supply, with many of the companies finding it hard to keep their key workers in the warehouses 'distancing' but still able to complete their tasks. Pryde Europe has been struggling and they have temporarily stopped shipments until a solution for a safe working environment is found. Hats off to them for putting their employees before profits.. now there is a change for the better! Saying that,  there is still a very good selection of kit available and will be happy to check for anyone that is putting together a little 'wish list' for this season. Lock down or not, you still have the right to plan a dream.

Whoops, it's getting late and I need to head off home, so time for this glorious weekends Weather and Tide times.
Saturday the winds are backing to the Sou'East and are currently forecast to be 8-12kts.. foiling weather at a push?..just saying.
Tides are High at 8.53hrs on a 5.1m
Sunday, the wind speeds increase, 14-21kts and still from the Sou'East, give or take a few °. Plenty for a spot of Kitin, Wingin or Windin.. but only if you can smell the water from your door of course. Tide is High at 9.54hrs on a 5.6m

That is your lot and I hope it has not been too dull a read.
Take care please but still keep fun in your mind.. IT WILL BE BACK!
