It's Friday! It was 7.33pm.. It's now 8.18pm and it's ...

It's Friday night... it's 7.33 and it may not be Crackerjack but tomorrow is lining up to be a bit of a CRACKER (a couple of you may remember the TV show that generated so much excitement.. for an 8 year old.. as it started the Weekend (followed by the Saturday Morning Matinee at the flicks!). It has been another incredibly busy week with a new record for moi.. I finished work at 9.50pm on Wednesday! Impressive as it beat Monday by 8 whole minutes and as we all know, a minute of your ‘own’ time is worth far more than one working!

The current work load is the greatest I have known since the 1980's. The days when windsurfing kicked off,  They arrived by the truckload and were piled up outside the shop. There is a difference now though..  back then the rush came at the weekends and you were only dealing with shop and telephone customers, plus the odd Fax order that would roll in, but nowadays you are under seige from two more methods.. the infamous emails (107 on Wednesday alone!) and social media messaging as well. All well and good when two of you are dealing with it but due to Covid we cannot both be in the shop at the same time, so during the day the stress level goes through the roof ( if I ever scream you will hopefully understand why.. ) and currently, due to Covid once again, it is happening 7 days a week! No complaints though as we are better off than 40.000 others..  thankful to still be alive!!

The shop will be manned tomorrow and as the Winds look to be in 'Wang'ing it mode (that's one I got in Marcus) it will be busy! Please be patient as we.. or rather I..  will try and get everyone in and out as quickly as possible. We cannot do the coffee and the chats like the good old days.. it really is Click and Collect at the moment.

Inflatable SUP boards.. if you are hunting for a bargain then I hate to say it but it is likely to be a long hunt .The supply is not keeping up with demand so putting your name down for a board on the next delivery is the only way to ensure getting one.. unless the good old Brit Weather turns 'nasty'of course.. then it could be Bargain time! :)

Pretty much the same with the Foil Wings. As fast as they are made they are sold. Ordered Duotone Echo's recently and looks like we are getting just one on the next drop. We now have the Naish S25 in stock again.. 2 x 5.6m 1 x 4.3m .It’s  nice to have something to sell !

20.15!! Looks to me like it is well past the Yard Arm and therefore  tis time for the Weather and Tides.

Saturday is the one for Windys.. Sou' West 24 -37kts (BBC said 40 plus earlier today?) building through the day and dropping off just about as I leave the shop.

Tide is High 12.30hr on a 6.3m.. Two sessions!!

Sunday is a quieter affair and with the winds still from the Sou'West at 12-15kts in the afternoon the newcomer kiters and foil riders should have a good time,, as per SUP on the River.. just be prepared for a slog when turning into the wind.

Tide is High at 13.16hrs on a 6.3m

WE LOVE YOU EVEN IF WE DON'T CLAP ANYMORE!

Cheers!
