Neil Pryde FLY Wing Opinion Leader Offer
A few weeks back I posted a video presentation of Neil Pryde's forthcoming Fly Wing. Last Wednesday, Karl Cadwallader from Pryde UK, dropped by to let us have a first look at the Fly and it's a very impressive looking piece of kit indeed. The wing has those little 'details' that you would expect to see, when a designer such as Nils Rosenblad gets involved with an aerodynamic 'form'. The pressure equalising centre strut panel, narrow wing tips to give better twist control to the trailing edge ( 'sails' are generally faster with a loose/flexible trailing edge) which increases airflow over the power producing main panel, the 'pistol grip' front handle shape to allow flagging without moving your hand to the leading edge handle (less disruption to the foil when bringing the wing back into powering position), separate bladder inflation points for tuning, as well as bladder anti- twist devices for the centre and main struts.. and the list goes on. But the main thing is that it also looks really good!
