Sunny or what, Ensis Spin'offer and time for a Weever or two!

Here we go again. Friday night and it’s time for another of those Weekends in El Paradisio!

Yes, the UK South Coast currently appears to be having the BEST weather in Europe, even outdoing Alicante, which is the home of ‘sunshine’ in Europe! We are living the dream in sun-wise terms but shish, we could really do with a slightly warmer start and end to the day, as that wind is like a knife without the heat of the midday sun (so glad this did not set in during the winter). Not only that, we would all like to use our kites and sails on a local beach at some point this summer, as they have been made redundant by this ‘tradewind’ from the North. It did look as though we would have a break this weekend as a Sou’West wind was forecast for a few days, along with the Government Warnings of a life-threatening 30°C Heatwave in place for our area, but if that Nor’ East wind is still in place as the forecasters *now suggest, I am not so sure. Still, it’s sunny and everyone is happy. ( * See update below, as they have changed the forecast since I started this!)

If you are in the market to take part in the fast-growing sport of Wing Foiling then we have yet another offer to help you ’in’ without a huge expense or perhaps you may already be in and just want to increase the size of your quiver? This time it is Ensis and it’s their Spin Wing that is On Offer and that is due to a New Model being launched shortly, so it is time to clear the remaining stock. You can now buy their manouvere orientated Wing with 25% off the RRP , which brings a 5.1m down to just a tad or so over £600.00 (£636.00 to be exact) which is a snip in comparrison to the 2024 models, which are likely to be closer to £1K . These wings are low aspect ratio, so although they may be perceived as a bit of a Maestro freestyler or wave riders Wing, they do work well for newcomers as well, as they are stable with a good power range, flag nicely (not all over the place when held by one hand) and the shorter / wider aspect ratio helps keep the wing tips clear of the water.   Pricing is below ( you could buy the kids a small Wing to get them onboard early) and as you would expect, the numbers are already limited in certain sizes. We may have the last *4.6m in the country, so we are being tight and only offering 15% on that particular Wing, as we are taking the hit on wings we have in stock.

Spin Wing (call for colours available!)
1.8m £539.00 - 2.2m £546.00 -  2.6m £554.00 – 3.1m £561.00 – 3.6m £580.00
4.1m £599.00 – *4.6m Blue £699.00 -  5.1m £636.00 – 6.1m £674.00

That’s about it for today as it’s too nice an evening to be tapping away on a keyboard. Here’s the weekends weather and tide times.

Saturday, as I said earlier, has been changed yet again. Sun with cloud at times and a wind coming in from the East’Sou’East at 10-15kts, before dropping back ever so slightly during the latter part of the afternoon and turning more to the Sou’East (this bodes well for the kite demo at LA. See our Facebook page for more info on this! ). Tide is High at 17.17hrs on a 5.6m, so low around midday. That means nice paddling weather for the kids but be aware of the likely hood of those lovely little Weever fish turning up for a sun bathe... Kids water shoes only £6.99 a pair and adults £7.99!

Sunday it’s all change as well. There are two thoughts.. one is West’Sou’West all day 5-8kts ( it could increase as an OK direction for sea breezes) and the other is Nor’West in the morning, then backing to the West 5-10kt  (as it would on a sea breeze) by early afternoon and then going directly to the South 6 -12kt from around 4pm and on into the evening. I think we will need to review Sundays forecast tomorrow evening. Weather is overcast and no sign of 30°C but it should be warm. Tide is High at 18.24hrs on a 5.4m.

And that’s that for another week. I hope you all have a great weekend and our doors will be open 9.30 – 5.30pm Saturday and 10 – 4.00pm Sunday should you be in spending mode (don’t forget late opening on Monday!).
Have a good’un everyone.
