The latest version of the ever popular Ezzy Wave. The Panther 2 is classed as a power wave sail but it continues in David Ezzy's line of being of a soft rotational design (the battens are pre-shaped and the tips float behind the mast to allow easy luffing of the sail when sheeted out).

The Panther and the Panther 2 have the same approximate dimensions as David has focused on design tweaks and innovation, not revolution. However, as David responds to feedback throughout the life cycle of a sail, their will be subtle shaping changes in the sail for the 2010 to further improve its already strong virtues.

David has also responded to your feedback on the boom cutout and added one more postion, it did have 5 and now it has 6. This higher position will benefit  those who are over 6’ 1’’ and any sailor that favours a high boom. The lowest position is not affected and so the sail is great for all sizes and statures.

Features of the new Tri - lite scrim material:
1) It is lighter. It weighs about 40% to 50% less than standard monofilm.
2) It has better UV resistance. The Tri-Lite has more yarns and less film which means it doesn't get "crispy" and brittle from excessive UV exposure.
3) It stretches a bit more. The Tri-Lite absorbs shocks traveling through the sail. This makes the sail feel smoother and less jerky.
