Colin Sutton (sails at Littlehampton.. should you be over that way!) has been sailing on and off for quite a few years but like many other windsurfers, he had never really cracked carve gybing a board.. but he has now!!

Hi Danny.

Picked up my board on Saturday morning and lucky enough to sail it Saturday and Sunday.
I used to windsurf 20 years ago but gave up trying to gybe and fickle winds at Rutland water never matched with my free time. We bought a flat down here six years ago and I decided to get back into windsurfing, I started with a 127 super sport then added a 101 FSW and then an 82 wave board. All the time getting better at sailing.. but still not gybing very much.
I bought the Firemove as a sort of backward step to try and help with the gybing. Well, using my 7.5m sail and the 46cm fin from my Supersport (bigger fin helped in the lightwinds)  I had 3 hrs of great riding including my first planning carve gybe as well as a dozen other dry gybes, a record for me. Sunday used a 6.7 with the supplied 36cm fin and also had a great sail. Only 5 gybes this time but still better than I usually manage.
The board feels fast, gets onto the plane quickly and is easy to control when planning. With me at 85 kg it is easy to uphaul as well. Very pleased with this board, wish I had bought this 6 years ago instead of the Supersport which is fast but less easy to gybe and tack.

Colin.
